Information we receive
If you email us or use the website’s “open email draft” form, we receive the information you choose to send: your name or business name, email address, description of the task and any other details in your message. The website form opens your mail app; it does not send your answers to us or save them on the website by itself.
Please do not send passwords, customer records or confidential files in an initial enquiry. If a project needs access to real data, we will agree how to handle it separately.
Why we use it
- To read your enquiry, reply and assess whether a useful tool is possible. Where you ask us to consider a project, this is to take steps at your request before a potential contract.
- To manage correspondence and protect our business interests, relying on our legitimate interest in running the service and keeping an accurate record of discussions.
- If we work together, to provide the agreed service and keep records required by law. Project-specific data handling will be covered in the relevant agreement.
Who may handle it
We use service providers to run email and host the website. They may process information on our behalf, including outside the UK where appropriate safeguards apply. We do not sell enquiry details. We share them with others only when needed to deliver the service, comply with law or protect our rights.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not become projects for up to 12 months after our last exchange, unless we need them longer for a legal reason. If we work together, we keep relevant contract and accounting records for the applicable legal period. We delete information when it is no longer needed.
Website and cookies
Our website code does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The website host may process technical connection information and use essential technology to deliver and secure the site.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for access to your personal information, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to certain uses, and for a copy where applicable. Email hello@taskvolt.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with our response.
